About Rob Bohannan |

Robert H. Bohannan
has over 20 years of experience in transportation and has a Bachelor of Arts
degree in political science from Arizona State University. He is a member of
the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified
Planners. Rob is locally recognized as a transit planning specialist and an
expert in passenger rail history and issues. In 2011, Rob is a subconsultant to Jacobs Engineering Group on two
projects: He is updating a Transit
Feasibility Study for the City of Apache Junction, and he is completing a
Transit Feasibility Study and a Five-year Transit Implementation Plan for the
San Carlos Apache Tribe. |

Rob managed several
small area transportation studies, several transit feasibility studies and
air quality sustainability studies as a Senior Transportation Planner for
Lima & Associates. He also served as project planner for transit studies
as well as small area transportation studies at Lima. He is skilled in all phases of public
involvement including presenting information to the public, working with
technical advisory committees, coordinating with public and private agencies,
and preparing press releases, newsletters, display boards, and other
collateral. Rob completed ten
years of transportation planning experience with Lima & Associates in
2010. For three years prior to joining Lima, he was the general manager of a
short line railroad that provided both freight and passenger excursion
operations. For another five years, he was the president and general manager
of a shuttle service that connected Flagstaff with Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
and also connected the Phoenix area with Amtrak in Flagstaff and served as a
through bus connection with interline ticketing with Amtrak. A native Arizonan, Rob is a lifelong resident of Arizona. Rob obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University in l974 , and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is also a director and 2011 President of the Arizona Rail Passenger Association. Rob represents ARPA on the Rail Programs Committee of the Arizona Transit Association. |
